It's pretty gnarly if you know where to go without running into unwanted areas. The Observatory is pretty chill, you can see a view of downtown L.A, parts of Santa Monica...etc.

Los Angeles is a pretty decent place. If you want to hangout at night, always bring friends. Most people from out of state look for certain spots where classic movies were filmed.
