I have been to Sri Lanka in 2012 for several weeks. My friend in school many years ago was from Haputale. And my mechanic who works for me is from Kandy.

Hello chris the info u told me sounds very interesting. Anyway jamaica is safe for tourist to travel so dnt be afraid to jamaica and visit when u are ready.

Thailand is a country I always wanted to go to also. I spent time in Korea and met a lot of other German people there (mostly teachers) who were going to Thailand next. You speak a lot of languages - wow. I only speak German and English fluently. If I would practice my French I would probably do ok, and I speak a little Korean. I need to learn a little Russian, Chinese, and Tibetan before 2013. I don't have my travel plans locked in. I just know that I will take off at least a year starting at September 2012. In spring 2013 I will just travel by train from Moscow to China, Tibet, Bhutan, North India, and whatever other place I want to go. I think I will try to do a mixture between just pleasure traveling and volunteering. I am working like crazy right now so I can save every month for my travel plans. Selling your house does sound a bit scary.
