I just stumbled across your profile and unlikely as it may appear we probably have a lot of interests in common.
I also happen to be a Churchill fan, although I don’t necessarily agree with everything he stood for. Over the years I have assembled a good collection of his books, amongst them The History of the English Speaking Peoples and The History of the Second World War. In fact Churchill’s history of WWII was the first book I read from him. I spent the war years in Brussels and the call sign of the BBC and Churchill’s booming voice still echoes in my ears.
I enjoyed reading the list of quotations in your personal profile and I tend to agree with Tom Stoppard that “Age is a very high price to pay for maturity”

No it is still dreadful and I am not liking it one tiny bit :) :) Getting to old for this stuff. Need to move to a year round warm and sunny place. It has also been so dark and grey almost every day this winter...it's downright depressive. However, we are getting a few rays of Mr. Sun today.
